Boarding Program

FLIS provides a full service boarding program for a limited number of students in order to meet the needs of  our families with special conditions. The FLIS boarding program is primarily aimed at students in middle and high school, but other students may apply when a special condition exists and the proper staff resources are available. The FLIS Boarding house is located off campus and and is available from Sunday evenings to Friday afternoons only. Students are bused to and from campus with meals being taken on the FLIS campus. A special curriculum designed to help speed English acquisition, develop mature personal and social skills, and provide extended life based instruction is in place. The dorm managers of FLIS welcome each student to this wonderful environment. Our dorm managers strive to love, care, nurture, discipline, grow, support, befriend and challenge each unique group of student residents.

Motto:

Every student is a person and every person deserves a chance to become all that they have been gifted to be.

Philosophy:

  • Create a home-like environment for our students that exhibits a family atmosphere.

  • Make every effort to treat each student in the way we would want our own children treated if they were living in a dorm.

  • Help students grow through extended academic study and personal and team based development activities.

Priorities of our boarding program:

  • To maintain order, safety and well being of our students at all times.

  • Supervise students regularly and uniformly.

  • Provide extended tutoring and academic programs.

  • Institute efficient programs of hygiene, routine and discipline.

  • Provide fulfilling social and extracurricular programs.

  • Foster, counsel and track student growth.

  • Maintain clear and regular communication with parents.
