Student Assessment and Placement:

Upon entering our school each student is given a full initial assessment of English, social-emotional, and academic skill level. Grade and program placement is determined by several factors including previous transcript assessment, placement assessment results, personal interview and age or previous academic level. Student progress is tracked using regular standardized assessment both formative and cumulative. We have standardized these systems to compliment recognized global assessment measures, so student progress can be compared locally, regionally and globally. The MAP assessment is particularly relevant as it is a common assessment system in the American education system.

Examples of student tracking and assessment :

  • Regular progress reports

  • Bi-annual Report Cards

  • Official and unofficial GIA transcripts

  • Regular teacher feedback and reporting

  • Regular Parent-teacher conferencing

  • Course completion examination system (for high school)

  • Assessment feature of Engrade Pro online academic management tool

  • Oxford Online English Assessment Tool

  • MAP (Measure of Academic Progress)
