School Uniform

Our goal at FLIS is to establish a school environment intent on allowing our students to develop academically, prepare for professional expectations, live harmoniously, and show mindfulness for others. Wearing a uniform is a badge of pride, creates an identity for our school and is an important part of being a school student at FLIS. Uniforms show that students are part of our winning team and wearing them says, "We're all in this together!". We expect all of our students to wear their uniforms with pride, as it shows they are on the path of harmony, and focused on achieving goals. Wearing uniforms proudly also show that students take pride in how they look and that they wouldn't want to discourage others for looking different, so students don't have to worry about peer pressure when it comes to their clothes and can focus on academic growth. Subsequently, many researchers have  shown that a school uniform can improve learning by reducing distraction, sharpening focus on schoolwork and making the classroom a more serious environment. In the end, the way students dress reveals something about how they view themselves and others, so we want our students to show the world, and themselves, their best view. You can check out the specific rules and examples of our school uniform policy using the link here.
